Stella or certate hyper custom?

Hey guys, I am looking at putting a combo together for jewies and big fatties., already got the rod sorted. Contemplating which of the 2 reels would better suit me, any pros and cons of these reels? Can get them for pretty much the same priceand have no strong affiliation to shimano or daiwa, just want the reel thats gonna put up with the most punishment.
Cheers in advance Joe.

Cheers fellas, have always wanted to be able to say Ive got a stella so was leaning that way anyway. What about eva handles for stellas? Ive seen the "Yummy" brand ones and was curious howthey compare to the daiwa rcs eva knobs>

Yumeya is not an independent brand. Its Shimano's own aftermarket accesories. Pretty much like Daiwa's RCS

Yes they do make EVA knobs to fit Stella FD and FE range.

Go the Branzino 3000 ... its better than both the Stella & the Hyper. I've owned a Stella and as good as it is, the spool capacity is a bit on the slim side (2500). The Branzino is light, super smooth, and enough capacity for nearly 300m of PE2. Best all round reel I've used period!!!!!!

My advice would be to go with the one that feels right for you. From what you said before it sounds like the Stella is the one you want. Both the Stella and Hyper Certate are quality reels and I don't believe you can go wrong with either.

Cheers mate, contemplated the branzino but a daiwa 3000 is just a touch too big for what I want, but if I go the stella I will be getting a 3000 as the size difference between the brands is significant.

Id love to mate, but nowhere within a few hundred kms stocks the hyper custom, have never actually picked on up to be honest, just read good reviews about them.

Imo I wouldn't be buying something sight unseen then, especially a reel of this kind of value.

Stella walks all over the hyper anyways

Cheers mate, but I was reasonably confident the hyper custom would live upto its reputation, and have played with just about every other daiwa reel under the sun, so I feel safe if I did decide to go with it. Shouldnt matter anyway as Im leaning towards the stella.
