Which Daiwa should I get?

Looking for a new reel to go onto one of two rods I use on the flats, I fish the wide open spaces of Moreton Bay, and the larger estuary systems in SE Qld. I really like the idea of another 2506 reel for the long rods I use and the longer casts I get - i have a Luvias 2506 etc.

The two rods I have are a Daiwa Saltist LR Game PE 7'5" which currently has my silver Luvias 2506 on it, and I have a Pflueger Trion Tournament 7'2" with a silver Luvias 2000 running straight thru flruo, but it is a little tip heavy and i'd like to sit this reel on another rod.

I am a bit poor at the moment, so i am looking to pick up a 2nd hander or a new cheaper 2506 maybe from JP, or on special in OZ.

I know there has just been a thread on the Emeraldas Infeet 2506 but out of that reel, the Caldia 2506, and a 2011 Freams, assuming they are all around the same price which is the better and why?

I know the Stradic is talked about as a great reel around that price point, so i guess I would have to consider it but i've always been a Daiwa man to date.

Thanks guys

Mick.

sounds like you would be happiest with a silver 2506
a great used one that is
does the one you have go good on the trion?
luvias beats the others you mentioned in my opinion

Thanks guys

Something i have determined is I need a heavier reel than the Luvi, more mid 200g area than close to 200grams.

Perhaps I will go to the dark side and try a Stradic 2500 just to see what the fuss is about. I could also just wait for a 2nd hand Sol

Anyone else?

Mick.

Nothing wrong with a 2nd hand Sol, I picked one up for $150 on here with both spools filled with braid.

I got a Caldia Kix for $200 brand new. Great reels for the price.

Mate to be honest keep buying daiwa you can pick up new Daiwa Advantage 2000 for $180 or a 2500 for $200 to your door from the states. It just a sol with one less bearing..

Pm if you want the info where to buy..
