Reel sizes

I'm familiar with the Shimano real sizes. I have a Stradic ci4 1000 and am looking tyo buy another 2500 size reel, but not necessarily in Shimano.

WHat are the size equivelents to a 2500 in other brands like Daiwa for example?

I like to think of it this way, smallest to largest: Shmano 1000, Daiwa 1000/1500/2000, shimano 2500, Daiwa 2500, etc.

Daiwa reels are definately slightly larger than the same size shimano.

I think a 2000 Daiwa is alot like a 2500 Shimano in size.

Best way is to go see one at the tackle shop, all 2500 Shimano's are the same size across their range, likewise with Daiwa, so a cheap 2500 Daiwa is the same size as a high end 2500 Daiwa.
