WTB Stella FE 4000

Well the Exmouth trip is only a month away now so am on the hunt for the best deal on the new Shimano Stella FE 4000.l own the Stella FD and love it to bits, nailing some awesome fish on this unit over the last 3 years up north never letting me down.Looking to add the new model to the stable. The new ratio is a selling point too. Will switch the FD to plastic duties and the new FE to burning lures back to the boat.
Not looking to buy overseas and am happy to support local business.
Going price seems to be $895 in Perth anyone doing any better?
Shoot me a PM if your in know or can do better.

Cheers Steve.

P.S May pair this with a larger Saragosa too.Never can have too many reels it seems up that way.

Steve on the hotbite website, they have online sales which i believe are some of the best prices in aus. They also have good prices on skin deeps etc too.

Hey Rodney, go a 5000 without a doubt pal I pick up one of my 5000s every time before choosing my 4000. Once you have one 4000 that is enough I reckon, I got one 5000 a couple of trips back and got a 2nd straight away on my return. They feel much stronger and carry a fair bit more whacking power.

And in your tiny lil mits I reckon it would fit quite nice. My 4000 feels like a bream reel compared now. I am making a booking this week, gonna try a different stylish pad this time though.

I don't think the 4000 would have stopped this bugger

cheers

If you step up to the 5000 size maybe look at the
twinpower SW 5000 as there is some decent deals on those
But a Stella is always a Stella

After using a Stella, its pretty hard to change back to a Twinpower even though they are a great reel.

Jeremiah, go a 5000 pal you won't be sorry, I assure you

cheers pal

Yep Northern Bluefin that went 55lb, took a popper with an insane explosion (looked like someone dropped a v-dub in the water) we called it for a GT until it didnt stop, then Shark, then this puupy came along side.

Spage being a non-believer in chasing down fish is now fully converted, he could see the spool on the 5000 with 50lb, before we thought we might make a last ditch effort to actually move after it.

The 4000 would have melted I reckon

Thanks guys for all the PM's and advice....seems I'm in two minds now whether to go the 5000 sw now or the 4000.The stats are pretty much the same although the weight difference is substancial, 405grams to 270grams.

Guess what I'm asking now Willis (Richo) do you find you fatigue more when using the heavier reel or is it pretty much not noticed.Happy to hear from all you guys.l cast flat out all day mostly as you do and was wondering how you go with the bigger reel.

Cheers Steve

Steve I used the saragosa 5000 last year and compared to the 4000 stradic, I do feel more fatigued, but the 5000 reel has heaps more stopping power than the 4000. The 4000 couldnt stop big coral trout like yours in the shallow reefs off dampier.

If you get the 5000 you could run a heavy and a light outfit as well.
