Anyone ordered from rakuten

Hi, looking to get a rod in from http://www.global.rakuten.com/en/cat...ds/jigger_rod/
Has anyone had any experience with these guys? I have heard there are a few dodgy sites out there and don't want to get stung
Dave

DO NOT USE RAKUTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a Megabass reel from these assholes and they never sent me my reel or my money back ($1,200). They do not respond to emails, and when they do its in Japanese.

Rakuten is not a single store... there are many different tackle stores on there. There are some awesome deals, but first you have to find someone at one of the stores who writes and reads English, unless you want to use an online Japanese/English translator, which is what i did to make initial inquiries.
I have purchased from this store: http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/proshopks/ and the service was good. The shipping was cheaper than from other Japanese websites - it cost me 2200 yen for a 2 piece rod via EMS! Alternatively, you can peruse their offerings in the Japanese Rakuten version via google translate: http://www.rakuten.co.jp/proshopks/
The email of the owner of this store was very helpful...
here:kase@proshopks.com.

That may be well and good...BUT.

Rakuten where not interested in my issue. They simply told me to contact the seller directly. The seller did not respond and Rakuken just kept telling me to contact the seller directly. If you wish to take the risk of loosing your money shop with Rakuten!

Service from Rakuten was HORRIBLE, i lost $1200 and they did not give a flying farck

But i guess thats just my experience

$1200 for nothing must hurt mate. Getting stung like that is one reason why I haven't ordered from overseas before.

As long as you can use PayPal i'll most likely shop anywhere. But I always have in the back of my mind if the deals to good to be true.......
