If you're gonna buy it, get it from www.japanprofishing.com - cheaper!

Just ordered a 2500S for a friend yesterday. DaiwaFreak informed me it's pretty much a Stella with alu body and less bearings.

Hey,

I've got prior models of twin powers and stellas. Twin powers are nice reels, but the aren't pretty much the same as stellas.

Cheers

I've just put an order in. Haven't yet received my 2011 twinpower 2500 from plat due to them being out of stock at the moment. However, they've kept me up to date with how things are progressing. They also reply to emails quickly.

Without really knowing what you're describing it's hard to say. My previous Twin Powers were great. I think it might have started a little rough (slight) but got smoother with time. They convinced me to switch to sh!tmano.

The new Twinpowers look like quite a nice rod but I haven't had a chance to play around with one yet.

Im not sure whats going to happen but if worse comes to worst and i have to open it up or get someone to, i will take a bunch of photos to show you guys. already the inside of the drag housing and underside of the spool look pretty fancy. oh and the drag has much more minute adjustment than previous shimano 2500 reels iv had.

Problem Solved

Hey guys, turns out it just needed a few more drops of oil and a good working in. took it down to a tackle store today and we realised that it felt smooth as, but it was just a noise it was making. some oil fixed that though..

Well what can i say, i gave it a spin next to a new stella. cant really feel a difference except the stella's body feels lighter. i guess we will see after a fair bit of use if it still feels the same.
played iwth it next to an exist. exist was lighter but felt less solid, and was smoother however i dont know if you would notice a difference if they werent compared side to side.

all in all im really happy with the reel. had a fish with it this afternoon and man was it smooth for playing with hardbodies and spinning metals.

teamed it up with a samurai 201 (bargain was too hard to go past) and it is as if they were made for eachother. perfect balance and looks great, amazing combo to fish with. nothing was biting down at the park so i just need to blood it now.

Oh and a big word for daiwa sensor egi white braid. 10 lb but feels much stronger and only pe.6. no need to go any thinner i think, casting zipbait khamsins 30m into the wind. and no windknots as yet..
