reel maintanance

hi, I was wondering how I should wash my reels after each use. I currently just rinse with fresh water then dry them. Should I do anything else?

Remember to do the drag up before washing them.

Every time I go fishing I rinse with water, house on light spray. go over with a sponge and some soppy water then rinse. Shake the water off then undo the drag, once dry a spray of inox on all the bits that move.

dont forget your poor rods
they can have a shower too, and even a coat of silicon or inox to keep them looking fresh
