Do not think the imprimi is zaion
and at 245g for a 1503 pretty sure it,s not zaion the presso is though http://breammaster.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=presso Last edited by smokindrags; 09-03-2011 at 11:30 PM. |

The Presso is a beautiful tiny light reel, the Presso is much nicer than the Presso "Imprimi" though.

Definitely nothing to do with the livias.. They're very heavy for what they are (245g). The one I played with definitely didn't feel particularly smooth either... Shoot me if you want, but at the price point they're a lot of show and not as much go.

The Presso is the Zaion Model of the (Original) to be technical. The Presso has the Luvias body and zaion material.
This is a cheaper "more affordable" model which is built from the Tierra frame and material. From what I heard, it's not very sturdy for saltwater use. So, in saying that, if you plan to fish for bream go something different. Like the "siblings" Tierra, Gekka Infeet,E-Gee etc. Or even have a look at the new MX Models, Emeraldas MX 2506 or Gekkabijin MX 2004. From what I heard they are value for money, and safe to use in Saltwater. Not to mention, IMO look better then the Imprimi for the same, less price depending on which MX model you choose... Or even go for a Certate, there's one in the classified going for $250! Can't get any better then that for the price. |

Mate I have one and to start with the reel wasnt smooth, kinda geary, BUT, after using it for few good sessions it has smoothed right out. i have a few Luvis an for smoothness it is right up there. Cant fault it all. Cheers Gav.
IMO I cant see how people can "feel" the difference in 40-50grams between reels. It's not like your reeling in a fish and start saying to yourself "geez my reels getting heavier".

I can certainly notice the difference... My 280g Symetre feels like a heavy lump on a rod where my 220g Luvias feels nice and light.

You can most Definetly notice 50-60 grams. There is a very noticeable difference Specialy in how your rod balances with the
Weight. |
