Stradic 4000 vs. 5000 size

Can anyone tell me if these reels are the same body size with different spool capacity?

yep.
5000 has extra drag(i think) and bigger line capacitys

Depends what you want to use it for. The 5000 is a great allround saltwater reel, holds a good capacity of 20lb, balances well on some of the heavier rods like T-Curve Bluewaters.

The 4000 is a good inshore reel and still handles the big stuff.

What rod are you matching it to and for what purpose? That will determine which one.

Matching with a 7ft t-curve saltwater spin 5-10kg for Tailor and Salmon. Wanna be a able to put it on a 9ft rod if needed for down south Salmon spinning.

It's all in preparation for the Salmon season - reckon the Bream in WA will get a rest when it starts cranking up! Can't wait.
