Interested to know of any tournaments around the traps where flathead are a target species.

On the Gold Coast every September they host the flathead classic. It's a pretty massive turnout too!

Basin Lure and Fly anglers hold the annual flathead classic on St Georges basin. Its a C&R comp and has a mixed bag component for other target species too. There is also one on Lake Illawarra (I believe held by Wollongong Sportsfishing club) that has both C&R and C&K components.

Hi mate,

There is one on in a couple of weeks down at narooma on the south coast its called the flathead classic and is run by the local pub.
