v-nose punts versus v-hulls

looking to invest into a boat that would be used for future bream comps and was wondering what is best in terms of performance, handling, and cost.i was hoping to go standard and with the help of a good mate(ali fabricator) customise the boat myself,i have looked at the clark magnums at rockingham boating centre and at 4.0m by 2.0m with a 3mm botttom and 2mm sides i am tending to lean towards this.any help would be appreciated.
