Twinpower FC 2500 or Emeraldas 2506.

Hey all.

Looking for a reel that will get me through the hard yards for a long time to come.

The reason I have picked the 2 reels mentioned is due to personally preferences.

Thought, if I'm gonna buy myself a reel that I'll have for quite some time it should be one I prefer.

So, please no other opinions for different models.

I'd be happy with either to be frank.

Just need to know which would benefit better for me in the future?

Any help on which of the two I should get would be great.

This is what I gathered;

Daiwa Emeraldas 2506;

- Hyper Digi Gear

- Looks AWESOME!

- Lightweight

and

- Out of assumption smoother.

TwinPower FC 2500;

- Mag Drive System

- Deep Spool

- Heavier Drag

and

Looks good for a Shimano.

The reel is going to be used for bream up to Jack and Small salty's.

Which makes me abit concern about the Emeraldas as the drag is only 3kg.

the twinpower has 7kg drag which kind of makes up for the extra 50g in weight.

The rod I'm going to put the reel on is a TD Zero 3-6kg and swap to a Heartland 2-4kg when I chase smaller species.

I'd say twinpower. Going off what you're targeting, you'll have the extra drag there if needed

Personally I have a secret love affair with that Emeraldas, nice looking reel... But I've had a longing for a twinpower a little bit longer.

Hard choice.. I think I'd go the Shimano for durability sakes.

Twinpower for sure, insanely strong gearing and very smooth. The Emeraldas is a sick looking reel, but I am not a fan of Zaion reels.

i would say emeraldas (i have the colossal and its one of the finest reels i have used )but for what you chasing go the twin power . Emma is very nice though .

for that price range.....................why not go for stella,the top shelf reels.preety sure the resale value would be slightly better than twin powers when the time comes to unload it.just my 2 cents.
