Certate Hi Gear Custom

http://daiwafishing.com.au/?p=5875

Has anybody seen or even had a play with these reels? IMO it doesn't look that great, and I don't see myself choosing a high gear model over the standard model. And why on earth would they be making a high gear model when there is still no Hyper Digigear model .

As much as I like my Daiwa's. I'm not so sure of their newer releases and especially the number of incarnations of the same reel with different paint etc. If anything, I think Daiwa generally have little less quality in their reels these days compared to five years ago. I wonder why we haven't seen a new model 4000 Certate as yet ... pretty hard to top those 3500 HD and 4000 models and with the Hyper somewhat new I guess Daiwa will release yet another model to cater for this ... seriously Daiwa ... too many reels!!!!!!! Oh for the record I own 4 Daiwa's so I'm not bashing ... I would prefer quality not quantity!!!!!

Matt

A "hyperdigi gear" is a techical sounding word meaning gear drive, that has been dreamed up by a graduate marketing executive in order to sell more reels.

Digigear means that the gears have been cut for perect meshing between the cogs.

Hyper means that "it's fully sick bro" !!!! Sorry, couldnt help myself.......... not sure on what they "Hyper" actually is though

I'm waiting on the new "Fully sick warp factor 9 super mega hyper digigear with optional flux capacitor" model that is due out soon. Gotta love marketing w#nk. "Machine cut gear" just doesn't sound as exciting.
Oh and the new "hi gear" obviously goes faster because it has red on it.

Cheers, Dror

Daiwa are having trouble with the flux capacitor, this may delay the realese of the "Fully sick warp factor 9 super mega hyper digigear with optional flux capacitor".

The word is the Doc will do a quick trip back to 1984 and try to sort the problem out!!
