Softies with SpinnerBaits ?

Gents I spent 12 Hours in total on the yarra the other day for a modest return of 6 fish the water color was putrid brown past Warrandyte, so I experimented with tiny size 0 spinnner baits and an arrangement of softies, I used the spinner baits in a simple drag and drop retrieve and they really did improve my hook up, actually from zero to 6. The Size 0 is very , very tiny, it doesnt seem to interfere with the jigs behaviour very much and it seems to have allowed me to use softies in water that really didn't make itself lure fishing friendly. Anyone tried them on the bream, I don't want to spook them but I thought when the waters crap it might be worth a look.
