Hey guys...
Got a little extra money to spend on lovely BREAM items and Ive kinda got a bit of everything so Im going to ask a funny question are we READY?? What would you all suggest are a MUST have in your bream tackle box 'that is available at the online store???" Ive got some sliders/atomics (all different colours), Some hard bodies (but NO Oargee's )....fireline....top quailty rod (Black Diamond) and reel (Diawa)... So any suggestions? soft plastics, hard bodies, jig heads, leader.. anything.. Thanks Blake |

Hi Blake,
Once you have the basics, it's always a good idea to build yourself a range of lures that will cover different circumstances. Shallow divers, deep divers, suspending and so on. A good variety means you can go to just about any river and know you have a selection that will cover a great range of conditions. There is always one BIG extra you could save up for. Vrooooom On top of that, if you're thinking of fishing comps it may be an idea to look at a number of rods as well. Flats, plastics and in close fishing can be better handled by rods of varying sizes and actions. Mate, where do you want to start.

Yeah totally agree
Thanks for that bear...
I guess your totally right... there is a must for gear for every occasion so youve always got something to try no matter whats happening... Gives me something to think about which is really what I was looking for... The boat would be ideal but being a HIGH paid University student its not really an option at the moment... If I stayed working instead of going back to Uni then Id have the mula for a boat but its going to have to wait a little bit yet.. (maybe by the end of next year).. Anyway.. if anyone has ideas let me know... Blake |

There are a few things that really don't get mentioned a lot on this site that, to be honest, are critical gear in the sport we do.
A good quality breathable fishing shirt, such as the Columbia range, are essential for keeping you protected from the sun as well as from the wind. Another is a good quality wide brim hat. In this day and age we should still make sure we are protected from the sun. Other things to think about: tackle bag rod tubes life jacket\PFD a range of jig heads in hook size and weight long nose pliers split ring pliers braid cutters sunglasses reef walkers and\or sandles digital camera That's a start.
