Scents on hardies...

Do they exist? do they work? Do they stick?

I know it's common practice with plastics but I'm wondering if they are of any use on hards, or are any compensation for being a noob.

Yes you can, liquid will need frequent reapplication. Things like squidgey scent. dizzy scent, megabite will last a while due to their consistancy.

Have to agree with shane, get the scent on those HB's it can never hurt.

Scents for hard bodies have been around for years, and there are so many out there, Ultrabite make a spray, a mate of mine was all over it while we were fishing without it, we all caught fish when we came across a patch of them, but he also picked up the odd one while we were hunting and the fish seemed more scarce, make of this what you will but the mate swears by it and it sure has had me thinking. (cant hurt)

get into the stink mate.
rub it on towards the back end of the hb lure and put a little on the sides as well, towards the bum of the lure.
it cant hurt.

i dont use hardbody scents anywhere near as much as i used to.
When i did i always looked for gluggy pastes.
A paste in which you could coat onto the lure and physically feel that it wont come off after 10 or so casts.
The best hardbody scent i have used is ultrabite lure scent.
The scent really tempts shutdown fish into biting and stays on the lure for ages.

I use the ultrbite paste/gel. the tube has lasted me a long time. I don't use it much tho, i only use it with HB's when I may have a foreign smell on my hands or if the fish are being fussy on the day.

I know lot of tournament anglers use Egimax & Glowmax, though they were designed for jigs at first place
