New IMA Popkey 80 surface lures

Here is one of the latest release lures from IMA. The Popkey 80mm have a great walk the dog action throwing a huge wake. The lures have just started leaving the warehouse so should be in stores soon. All lures feature Owner hooks and split rings and the quality you would expect from lures made in Japan.

Cheers
Steve

We have them on the shelves at $49.95. We will do these at 15% off for Breammaster members. Just call in to the shop, or phone us on 03 5144 1397 and mention this post.

Cheers

$49.95 that's ridiculous for a lure that cost approx $26.00 in Japan, they are good lures but overpriced for the Aus market.

By the time you fly there and back, it will cost a lot more than $49.95, not to mention import duties, wholesalers making a profit and then retailers also making a profit, plus the Government getting their share a few times over.

Then why is it that other Japanese lures of similar pricing are $20 cheaper in Australia, I understand that that there are costs involved & profits to be made "BUT"! they've priced themselves out of the market IMO

I hope that this is seen as constructive criticism as I think the majority of people will buy these out of Japan "Online" no need to fly there as you know.

Not having a go at you as a retailer because I'm sure your following recomended retail prices.

Yeah and I agree with Zen. You can justify the price, but it just doesn't make it any less expensive unfortunately. Good offer for BM members however.

This isnt aimed at one retailer or distributer or the makers....but $49.95 is a bit steep IMO!

Can somebody suggest why this lure is so exspensive?

If i had the $$$ i'd buy a couple, just to see how many fish they do catch. (I expect the fish to jump on the hook, swim to the boat, measure themselves and jump back in @ this price )

They look ok, but $49.95! I'd be devastated when this lure ended up a tree, around a oyster lease or plain casted off...

Please dont take this as a whinge about retailers and profit margins...
