Can I use hard body lures at night?

Hi I am new to bream fishing and have been fishing in Canning River and South Perth . Just started to explore the world of bream and hard body.

I am wondering would hard body works at night?

And what hard body model & colour would best suit those places.

i love using black sx40 at night they work wonders on bream

dark colours are better at night as they create a better sillouette against the moonlight

darker coloured hard bodies work really well at night on all species. it creates a very visible shape in the water for the fish to see. i would also make sure the lure have rattles to help the fish key onto the lure better

Just FYI, i bought a sx-40 color 309 - tweed river golden perch. Let me know if this color is effective, if not i will get it changed as i have not open it yet.

I also bought a Strike Pro 128vs and Strike Pro JU005 (i think's a a baby vib)

You guys think these HB lures will work in canning river and south Perth?

Also, what is the actual techniques when using them? Just reel it back slowly? I have no idea at all...

I have seen them at my local tackle store but they looked pretty unusual to me. Do you have any more info on these lures? how to work them and use them?

Very slow roll and when you feels fish tapping it don't strike wait until you get a solid hit then strike to the side not upwards.

I've got a couple of these, they were in prize bag at a comp a few years ago. Never use them though, will have to dig them out and have a look and I am pretty sure they are Zipbaits.

The MZ-19 Tungsten weight comes with the lure and also available seperately.

Put a smaller W Hook on them for better hookups and also point to put the W Hook underneath.

309 Tweed River works a treat in the systems arround here and is one of my all time favourite sx 40s. For night fishing I would go the black as others have suggested. cheers p
