Handling your handle preference.

What hand; either dominant or weak hand do you prefer to hold the rod with and wind the reel with?
ie hold rod in weak hand and wind with dominant?

Haha. sorry mate. Trying to make it totally fool proof in understanding, therefore more complicated

There are a few variables to take into account here, and it would just double the amount of options if i had to repeat for left handed and right handed people.

Btw: Dominant hand = Right hand for right handed person & left hand for left handed person.

im right randed, i cast with my right, hold the rod with my right and wind with my left. felt unco as when i first swapped but was getting many more hits on the lures cos i could put more action on them. cant imagine changing back now.

I'm left handed. Cast bream gear with left hand when both one and two handed, cast right handed with surf/mully/heavier gear, always wind right handed.

Wack as haha, fine motor skills left handed, everything else right.

It will be interesting to see these results. I was on another forum where this was a topic recently and it was good to see feedback from other people about peoples styles of fishing. All in all i think the general consensus was do what works for you, even though there is a lot of info around that it is more correct to reel with your non dominant hand and hold your rod with the dominant hand.
