Jerkbait or Shad

Hi all,
I am looking at the new range of Maria Hardbodies, can anyone explained the difference between jerkbait and shad? N in what kind of situation or area u’ll used jerkbait and shad?

With SPs, jerkbaits don't have much swimming action, they just go in the direction you jerk them along. Shads often have a tail and move more like they are swimming with a side to side action.

SP's sink generally due to the jighead................ unless.........there is new technology where there is weight in a jighead to assist with casting but it floats.....hhhhmmmmmm

shads usually have a wide wobbling action and are shaped fat at the front and taper off toward the tail, where as jerkbait have a tight shimmy and a slender profile. jerk baits are used by "jerking" the line and pausing.
