Lean Seats

Howdy all,

Would anyone recommend mounting a lean seat onto one of the front storage covers of a 400 Hornet Trophy. It's obvious I would have to remove it whenever I wanted something out of that storage compartment, but that doesn't worry me. Unfortunately the 400 Hornet doesn't come with a seat position on the front casting platform.

I pretty sure the covers are made of ply, so how long do you think it would take for my fat ass to go through it ??

Any other ideas for a lean seat would be appreciated,

Cheers,
Billy K.

Hi Aquahollic, this may be a long shot, but there was another thread a long time ago about seats for the hornet trophies that may have some use for you.

See http://www.breammaster.com/forum/sho...&threadid=1113

Apparently there is a seat tube already fitted under the front deck, but on some models the hole has not been cut in the plywood deck, so you just can't see it. May be worth sticking your head under there and having a look around to see if you can see it.

I assume it would be in the middle of the deck, between the hatches?

Cheers
James.

It's the 400 Hornet Trophy Jimi and the whole front section is hatches and storage. I remeber seeing the thread you describe a while back, but unfortunately it was for a differnet size boat,

Cheers,
Billy K.
