???? Sugar deep
Just by looking at some of the pics of the khamsin tiny, i went out looking for some this arvo, didnt find any (but will go to tackleworld tomorrow to look) and instead i saw a bassday sugar deep, so i was just wondering if the sugar deep is as good as the khamsin tiny..... To me they do have similarities but i would like to hear your opinions.

Love the Sugar deep and the Sugar minnow. These lure have been around for some time now, and are of an excellent build Quality. There are also some other great lures in the Bassday Range that are well and truely worth a look into.
The Kangoku Shad 45SP is great for casting up along those edges, and working the drop off. They cast an absolute mile, and have a great color range. Please see the link below http://www.bassday.com.au/Bassday.pdf Cheers Nick Last edited by crabcrusher; 20-02-2010 at 06:14 PM. |

I have 2 sugarDeep's now, they look good but, I haven't caught anything major on them atm. A couple of cod and a a few follow up by catchable bream. And IMO I think the action of it is really plain for the price. But, yea I believe work them in the right place and they'll go off.

oh and another thing about the sugaDeep is that when you get it make sure to remove the split ring on the bib. Because on my SD's, where the split ring curled around there was a gap between it, that my line could have easily slipped threw when i fish took it. And costing $23 a plop you wouldn't want that to happen

sugar deeps are awsome yeah but compared to khamison tiny's i dont think they are as good, christned a couple of tiny's yesterday arvo, they cast like a missile, as good a casting lure as a kangoku shad and waaaay better than sugar deep

I like the sugar deeps, bream are always all over them but the cast is pretty ordinary compared to other lures of similar size. A good lure none the less
worth having a couple.Michael. |

Khamsin Tiny doesn't need treble upgrade comes standard with Owner St-36, has Mag-drive system casts further, comes in Aus custom colours also has different profile, action and weight.
In short a completely different lure ![]() Mark |

Thanks for the above post hyper tackle, dont get me wrong, from this website and plenty of other places, i totally believe that the khamsin tiny has a heaps better reputation than the sugar deep, but personally just by looking at the lures at first sight( i have never seen the khamsins in the flesh though) i thought they mite have some similarites in looks, just by seeing the pics of them! Trust me i am looking for the khamsin alot more than the sugar deep! Anyway, on that topic, hyper tackle, do you know any tackle shops in sydney That mite have them. I cant wait to try them at this local spot.... Fished it today, saw plenty of big bream, no hookups though, but tons of whiting, the biggest being 36 cm. I was fishing for bream with some surface lures, but with a stop and start on a really slow retrieve.... Interesting to see the whiting going for a paused lure! But it was frustrating wen i was chucking every lure at these bream today and they werent touching a thing. Normally they are all over it at this spot. So yeh, thats why i cant wait to try the khamsins! Thanks Hotshot |
