Ecogear SX40

Hey guys,

I bought a SX 40 the other day, which i gave a go this morning. The lure was awesome but i am a bit annoyed with how quick the paint work came off. I caught 6 small bream with it but i thought for a $20 lure the paint would of lasted longer. You can buy a halco for $10 and the paint usually last a lot longer than that. What are your thoughts? Is this normal or just a bad paint job? Here are some photos of the lure

I have never had this happen to any other lure though. Even when I have fished up north the worst I have had are where the fish leaves teeth marks and so on and that is after a bit of use. Don't get me wrong these lures are awesome but if i have to but a few after evry session I will go broke very quickly.

Cheers
Tim

Don't want you going broke Tim, I'll swap you a brand new (in the box) SX43F in the same colour for your dud paint job lure.

post or delivery

I would say " this is lucky because you have a new colour to use!"

I also want to say "sorry, this is made by my big bother China"

No, the paint shouldn't come off that easy

Hmmmm that colour now looks better than most of the SX range...

I have never had that sort of issue with an ecogear paintjob though.

I think its a dud paint job, i use mine quiet a bit too and they have never come off like that. Also i've heard using it as a clear lure works pretty good. Have a look at this, might not be the prettiest but they still work. (Read first page)

Hi Timmah,

That is a lot of paint loss for a Ecogear, must be a faulty paint job. Why not contact jml at www.jml.net.au as they are the importers of ecogear.

Although that lure now looks the goods.

I thought it was a bit dodgey as well. I have sent a email with photo's already. Just waiting for a reply. Don't get me wrong these lures are awesome.

Cheers
