Great effort fish-a-fare!!!! Long way from home, on a different species, in such a big field. One more on day 1 would have been very handy eh!
Tell us all more...

Fish cowan creek on pre fish friday and got 1 28 fork alot of flatties a small mullaway 55cm in 1.8 meters of water , it went well. Then the trip back to the ramp got smashed by 2 to 2.5 swell comming in , so we decided not to go out of the pittwater on sat and sunday. Started of from 16th on sat picked a bay of the map (random draw) and went for a fish .Picked up alot of those long skinny things with big teeth small snapper , trevs so we thought we would try around the island and jetties .We picked up a couple from 7 meters deep using plastic and a couple from under the jetties ,so i gave the vibes a shot but to no avail back to the plastics .using banana prawn . We then ran out of them (lots of hits leather jacket and small snapper )so i thought i would try somthing else the 2 inch orange prawn with the banana belly , up under the floating jetty she goes let her sink one jig and bang she is of like a steam train under the jetty , so like a tosser i lift the rod and the leader she goes into the barnicals , shes gone and the 1st prize . Sunday fished the same area with the orange prawn and picked up 10 fish all about the same size ,just couldnt get the extra 500gms
