hi,
just wandering if anyone has had any experience with these blades? they look pretty mad but i thought to the fish it might just look like anyother blade thats gone through some sea weed.

From the nelson service station when we were there for the comp, but most shops now have them in stock.

Yeah, the same as the VX's but we needed to vary it up a bit as the fish were quite shut down.

im thinking of changing the hooks to w hooks or trebels, i havnt had the best hook up rate with the small assist hooks. Great lure tho

dale modifyied his with some success. i attached a #16 red treble to the split ring that holds the assist hook...looked good..but no good, the assist hooks just foul up.
after seeing dale nail some fish with his and i had a few on mine over that weekend id be happy to leave them as is OR tie a new set of assist hooks using Slighty larger singles.

I was talking to one of the guys here fishing the Vic Bream GF before the comp on Friday.

He'd tried them late last week and caught several bream on them, but he did say that he wasn't keen on how far down the fish ended up hooked due to the trailing hooks. Tended not to be lip hooked and that for C&R comp fishing it might be an issue. One of the fish he put back was bleeding.
