Post Info on split rings

Hi all,

I was hoping someone might be able to provide some info on a type of split ring that opens at a specific breaking strain, thus ensuring that the lure is not lost in a snag or another situation. I can't exactly recall, however, they may be made of titanium or some other similar metal.

If you could provide a brand and any experience you may have had with these, it would be greatly appreciated.

I know there are other methods or products on the market such as tackle back, etc, however I was more interested in the above.
