Thumbs up Tica Tauras 1000

Picked up a tauras thanks to Timsy telling me that Quinton from AA rated them because of the internal strength ie brass gears etc.Still to wet a line with it, but it does appear to be very good quality. It is the TP series tica's top reel, has anyone else used one?
Cheers Steve

Gidday Mike, off memory I think it was around $360. I bought a few other items so I'm unsure if thats 100%. Had a fish with it tonight, very smooth and no loops at all on any of the casts. It's slightly heavier than my other small shimano's but it has a very solid feel about it. Can't wait to hook up to a big bream to try out the drag. Really nice all round mate.

Cheers Steve

That real is bloody awesome.
I was with steve when he bought it. The drag is sensational to say the least. Internally, The guys at AA rate it up there with the Stella!!! Big call to be made!

Tica's Rock

Told ya Brownie how good they are mate.
They are a superb reel. I lurve them!
The boys at AA certainly know their gear, Quinton especially, since he's the one that generally fixes & services the reels.

I would almost (i said almost) give me left nut for one. But, since I'm getting mine in a coupla weeks I think I'll keep my left nut.

cheers mate.
