Suggestions for allrounder bream rod ~$200.
I'm fishing with a 6'6 berkely drop shot and want to upgrade. This rod will be exclusively for land based bream fishing, but I am looking for something of an allrounder. I will probably use HBs 80% of the time and SPs 20%. What do people suggest as a good rod around the $200-250 mark that would represent a worthwhile upgrade from what I currently use? I understand there's good rods at $500+, but I really can't afford that. Of course, I'm also happy to hear if people have a second hand rod in top condition that they are willing to sell that would suit my kind of fishing.

If you cloud stretch your budget just a bit further i think the Nitro Powerbream Finesse 7'' woul be near perfect for what you are looking for, they retail for about $299.00 im sure you could pick one up cheaper of you know the blokes at the tackle shop.. probably for around 269.00 if your lucky!

Thanks for the advice guys - I'll look at all the suggestions. One thing though I should have mentioned is that I'd prefer a 2 piece.

Out of all the above rods mentioned I'd say the Trion (split grip model) and spend the rest on a nice reel... Or a T Curve!

If you are inclined to go the way of Pfluegers then have a look at the Medalist series. They are being offered at various discounts in a lot of places. For 200 bucks (or less) you get Fuji fittings, and Fuji titanium framed SiC guides. That sort of value can't be beat.
