Walk the Dog lures? in Brisbane?

Heading down to brisbane next week for a few days and was planning on picking up some small walk the dog type bream lures down there.

Just wandering if you all had some reconmendations on this type of lure and if anyone knows some good tackle stores down there that would have them.
I have heard good reports of Sammy 65's and Tiki's.

Any help would be great.

Cheers
Captain

LC Sammy 65
Heddon Zara Puppy and Zara Pooch (3", 7g and 2", 3.5g respectively)
Smith Towadi
LC Bevy Pencil
River2Sea Rover (a bit larger, at 75mm and 7g, but a nice lure)
Daiwa Lazy Gekkabijin 5F

Just a few that come to the top of my head. Dunno of any stores down there, but sure some of our other members will be able to point you in the right direction.

walk the dog

HI mate,

Go to tackle warehouse at Camp Hill (they are the largest in QLD). Over the weekend I bought some I think they are called shiatsu or something similar, just think of DohDohDohDohsu and you will be on the same line.

talk to Pete, he is one of the local bream pros.

been slaying the bream on surface lures here in brissy the last couple of weeks. Sammy 65s, 85s and megabass dog x jrs have been the lures doing the damage for me. As for tackle stores talk to peter herbst at tackle warehouse, dizzy or darryl at mossops and andy orley at logan river marine.

Yep, Zip-N-Ziggy also a good one, bit big for bream though, and you do need to try and get some better strength trebles for them, as they have the knack of attracting things that do amazing ironwork with weaker trebles.

Thanks guys for the replys, Made a list of your suggestions and plan to stock up while I'm down there. Like the look of those Fackie dog lures.

Got a taste for this style of luring at cania Dam recently and am hopeing to have the same sort of sucess in the salt.

I'll post some results once I get it all together.
Thanks Again

Captain

the better stores to visit are:

tacklewarehouse - camp hill
jone's tackle - lutwych
mossips - woolloongabba
fishhead - victoria point

the top 3 are all around the city fringe areas (10-20mins driving distance from the city) and fish head is a mission and a half being over at victoria point

Another different, but does walk the dog well is the skinny pop jr. pictured next to px to show the diameter. It even bloops a bit whilst walking.
