for an 'all round' leader i'd go 6lb, get some good quality stuff (Unitika is the best I've found) as it will still be thinner than the cheaper stuff, but still have the pulling power there.

Thumbs up Berkley Vanish

I have only ever used Berkley Vanish, for Bream + Flathead's etc;- "No drama's here"

For bigger fish I use Berkley Mono & still no drama's!

I'm sold on Linesystems. Strong, tough and subtle.

I use 4lb most but I do have 6, 8 and 10 when required.
