Daiwa Exist help...
Hi folks,
I'm looking to change to Daiwa and upgrade my Shimano twinpower 2000 to an Exist... My only problem is choosing which exist to get... I'm finding it tough to make the choice between the 2004, 2506, 2508, 2500... I know it's like half their range but the reel is sooo light and a 2500 exist would feel lighter than what im currently using atm. I mainly fish for bream, trout and the occasional pinky... BUT i want this reel to be able to tackle bigger fish if needed... The reel will be paired up with a loomis glx dropshot. Hope this is enough info for someone to help me choose..., and any help will be MUCH appreciated! Thanks in advance, Shev |

Easy mate... get the 2508. 7kg drag.
If you want more finesse in future you can get the 2506 spool for it to fish 3kg drag. If you need the reel to hold more line in future you can get the normal 2500 spool.

YEAH thats great mate....encouraging people to check out EBAY.... dont you think you're sending people to risk their money on unknown and unseen products?? I dont give a DohDohDohDoh if you buy from there but you dont have to drag people into it. You are really helping people to rip local tackle shops off. There's a reason why there are tackle shops!!

Lol Ebay is safe and very secure if you buy from reputable dealers...Nothing wrong with saving $200 on a reel..Why pay the extra for a 1,2 guarantee...Yeah rip off tackle shops you got that right

ebay
haha ebay... ill never get anything expensive from there again.. got ripped off big time on a nokia 8800 sirocco phone!
I was thinking of getting the reel from Japan tackle as i'd be saving over $200, but I couldn't do that to Rudy from Complete Angler who ALWAYS goes out of his way to help me out when im at the shop/ when i call for advice. I got my last reel online only because i couldn't get it in Aus... plus i was in uni then. Now the boss is putting half towards it, so the $200 extra isn't a worry for me Feels strange to fork out full price for the reel, but i feel like i'm doing the right thing getting if from a place that gives great advice and looks after me on tackle every time i go there. |

Not once have i come across a rip off on ebay yet...Im sure it happens....
I guess it's not for people that can't use it....My reel was here in 4 days..Straight out of Japan....No different than Japan tackle where 2 of my other friends got there reels no problems for anyone.. |

Don't get me wrong blackBreamer,
Japan tackle is awesome... just in this instance, im opting to keep a good relationship with the tackle shop I always go to... main reason for not buying it from japan tackle is the fact my boss is paying for half of the reel... I've bought heaps of stuff off ebay, just wont buy expensive items off it again as i've personally had a bad experience from it. Thanks fot the great advice on the exist... I cant wait to get it! Cheers, Shev |

By posting what i posted doesn't mean everything i buy comes from Ebay..I thought i could help some one out with a big saving on a very expensive reel, was not ment cause any mallice but the way you worded it got me going...As it would of with anyone else, my attitude is sensational i don't think you should be making a personal attack...It's not the purchasing from O/S that makes shops close the door, come on there are bigger factors than just that...I think you'll find it has more to do with trying to be competetive which makes mosts shops go bust...If your a consistant shop with reasonable prices, work more on a high turn over sale rather than making 50 to 100% profit maybe more you'd stay alive...Sorry to hijack your thread Aquartos...

It's all good mate, got the info i was after.,, Hey Chop, The phone was meant to be a brand new 8800 sirocco... the seller assured me that it would be in 100% working condition and 100% brand new.. The phone was DOA and it was used... eg software cd was scratched up, ear wax on the bluetooth head set... the list goes on... Long story short, i got a refund in the end. |
