How many batteries?
Hey guys just picked up boat today, was wondering how many batteries do you need to run the following. Sounder, pump for live well, electric motor and probably nav light and lights. Also how do you set it up.
Cheers Timmah

Hey timmah congrats on the purchase, I run my livewell pump and leccy off my 130 amp hour trojan and I have a 24 amp hour sealed battery that I run my sounder and ancillaries off. I wouldn't use the same battery to run the leccy and sounder as it may cause interference with the sounder.

I use my cranking battery for sounder and livewell and the kota runs off the deep cycle. If you don't have a cranking battery I would go with a setup like Scooter (Angel). Some people don't experience leccy interference on the sounder but it can occur.
