on the first day. plenty of small fish, the frankland is
full of them.the wife and i spent last thursday on
the frankland,it was my first serious go using lures
got a couple of bumps but no takes.i couldn,t believe
how clear the water was, we were drifting along
the snags and saw heaps of small bream.

If you launched up the Franklin yuo would have seen some flats up there pretty much before nornalup though. The Walpole flats are at the mouth of the Deep all the way along your right. (from the Island....) its really just the shallow water and anything which has a dropoff of a couple of ft plus.

At the entrance to the Franklyn river the left and right of that - you should be able to see the shallow outline pretty much around the whole Inlet. That is the flats.... they are unmistakable.

Use a River2Sea or 52 Scorp and ya can`t go wrong.

cheers
