New Riptide Burn Out

Was using my new (feb) minn kota riptide 55lb today and while i was using it from the bottom plate (where the cables feed into) it started to smoke
and now the prop wont even move when i power it up, have taken it back and its being sent away to be checked out, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before. Minn Kota has such a good name i hope i havent got a 'lemon'.

Cheers

Chris

Don't Worry, they'll fix it.

If you haven't heard anything back by 2 week's give em a call. I just put mine in for a second time this week aswell.
Mine is due to a corrosion problem in the foot plug socket, I really recommend you put in that fuse as that should stop it melting
