Uni Knot, Uni Knot, or the Uni Knot!
You can pull it up tight or leave a loop either way is still a lot stronger than a blood knot. Do the exercise yourself, go through and tie as many different knots as you like and break them all. At least it will give you an idea as to which knot works best with the leader you are using. And yes sometimes different lines and leaders require different knots to get maximum strength. For me the uni knot is the most reliable all round knot! Ian. |

. If you are worry they do, then step on it with your shoe and use what ever knot you like they should be still strong enough through its maximum vibration! When you eventually find the knot you like, call it the "crippled knot" PS ... I like the uni on a Norman clip and it still catches fish!

Was going to say you should get your leader and vibe and take it down to this tackle shop I know on Canning Highway. The guy who works there is rather helpful and wouldn't hesitate to show you how and a lot more I am sure but just realised you don't live in Perth! This bloke showed me some knots when I first started but he never showed me the kk knot though! ![]() Gees, a midweek public holiday is great for sleeping in all day indeed, think I'll just head back there!

I have personally found the key to successfully using baby vibes is to use them like a soft plastic and not like a hardbody - ie. let them sink to the bottom, short sharp lift and then allow it to drop to the bottom....wait....and repeat. I find its an even split between getting hit on the drop and a hit about a second or so after it settles on the ground so be ready to strike on the drop. If you plan to work it againt structure like pylons, then don't just work the bottom, try working different sections of the water column to good effectiveness like mid-water etc. I also struck a bit of form trolling them down south for trout! I doubt that will be useful for bream but it may be helpful if you head towards the sweetwater one day....
