I use a little Halco Catch scent on my HB's when bream spinning & on SP's I use Spike It in gamefish. There are a lot of thoughts & opinions on whther it helps or not & as far as I know theres no way of proving whether it does or doesn't work. It can't hurt your chances anyway & I think it helps. More importantly I am more confident using it & thats half the battle.

A little story

Recently I was fishing plastics along a set of Oyster racks, for over 30 minutes for zero result.

I pulled the plastic in, applied Spike-It Garlic (clear) to the tail and pulled 3 solid Bream from the next five casts.

I figure, the Spike-It was the only thing I changed, so it must have helped - it could have been coincidence, but I doubt it.

I rarely put plastics into the water without scent of some kind (either in-built, like the Storm Rattlegrubs, or added).

I've got a hold of a 'new' scent and will be trying it out tomorrow - a few of you could have a good guess as to what it is, I'll post the results later

Cheers,
