Swan river kayaking(and bream)
Hi guys,
Can anyone shed some light on where a good spot to launch would be to chase some bream in the swan(Never fished the swan before!). I live south so some rough directions would be good. You don't have to tell me where all the fish are just handy things like safe place to park the car etc.... Much appreciated LK |

hey lizard,
there are some good places all around the swan to fish and launch the kayak but my bet is to try garret rd, theres a big car park near the rowing shed, try garvey park which is where the Ascot Kayak Club is. which is off great eastern hwy. these are the places i have launched my kayaks and ive never had any truoble there. some great fishing around there at the moment too garvey park is where ron countney island is a great bream spot. i hope this info helps. good luck cheers kurt

hey lizard i like the narrows you can park your car up on the grass (side closest to city)and you can fish 10 meters from your car and you can catch some nice bream and undersize chopper tailor good fun for the kids but make sure the undersize tailor get released because there are heaps of them

Hi Lizard King, If you lice to the south maybe give the Canning a go Salter pt through to shelley bridge and further are all fairly well sheltered spots too. Could aslo fish the sticks in that area (about 1 km east of salter point) memorys a bit hazey now as i'm in SA. You can launch anywere along this strecth.
If you want to only fish the Swan then plz ingnore the above L8tr

Thanks Bustlinbarry!!!, I should have included the canning aswell. Anywhere I can get away from a stiff seabreeze is good.
Cheers LK |
