South barges or containers.....

they're not all on the wrecks.....we found most of ours well off it......first patch was in 85m......that was about 500m off the closest container.....

Plenty of schools around, you just have to know where they are.

We got about 70 yesterday, the only bummer was the huge amounts of line left attached to bust offs by other boats etc, mainly from using to lighter gear and not enough drag, it really was a bummer having to untangle huge amounts of line that wasnt anyones on the boat. Another reason not to go light.

I didnt take any pics either.

cheers

rule of thumb.......

go minimum 50lb if there are no structures, no other boats and only 2 of U fishing........

otherwise stick with 80lb and control your fish. Ive even stepped up to 100lb+ to add alittle more abrasion resistance if I do cross someones line down there......

We still had a ball and a couple of new guys really enjoyed themselves for their first go at Jigging, one was over from East and he`ll be feeling it today, once they get over the initial shock of what a Sambo can do.

Sewelly cracked some snaps, i`ll have to steal some from him to post up. I did shoot probably an hour of vid footage, so thats cool, hopefully some came out.

Spot on there - go hard or dont bother, i cranked the drag a couple of times on a fella using my reel, once i did that he was nearly pulled over the edge - was a fair sight at the time as well.

Glad the weather stayed away, it was probably the best conditions we have come across since we have been jigging.

cheers

that would be the game dudes losing fish on 6-8kg, once you catch some good fish on 50lb plus try landing them on 6kg bulk fun
