NQ trout...

Well, down South in Victoria fishing with a 5wt rod in the fresh, you might expect to catch the odd brown or rainbow...

Up here, well, our trout have got pink eyes, are fairly bronze, and most importantly, LARGE

Thanks ruski,

I was well and truly stoked. Was going to take a release shot too, but the camera decided it'd had enough at that point. Pity, those things look absolutely awesome in tannin stained water...

Nice fish there man. Pity the camera karked it before the release shot.

See that clear floater's doing the biz. Did you get it on that diver again?

Thanks Ted, yeah, t'was caught on the diver again. It's become my fallback fly.

Lawrence, thank you, it was 76cm, so only 2cm longer than my previous PB, but still a nice fish in my opinion . As for the crocs...not such a worry there, but I do see a lot of snakes (when there's still light...)

Thanks Nick, those colours had me in awe too...inspired me to paint a barra somewhere, but haven't done it yet...

The fighting butt I think is a result of Terry and his will to abuse large fish with a light rod...So thankful it's there! Can't imagine fighting those fish on wrists alone, I think I'd still be in pain...
