need help!

I prefer mono (no critisism) and i was wondering what is a good all round breaking strain and thickness. 6.5lbs has a thickness of .18mm or should I go heavier to 7.5lbs with a thickness of .20mm or heavier? The line I use is called 'platil strong st'.

Thanks tadpole.

Mono is a fine choice and has a long history of success.
The 6 lb line is probably a sensible all round choice, when I did a lot of bream fishing with bait in rivers I used 4 lb, but doubled that to 8 lb around rock groynes/walls and where large Dusky Flathead were common.
I'm sure you will get many fish using a quality mono, but be aware that the greater feel provided by gelspun polyethylene (GSP) can result in even better results.
