Nice lookin' rod there Luke. Would go well with my Certate 2004 finesse!

If you're a shimano man you should get one of these:

Also, use the macro function (the button with the flower on it) on the camera if you're going to take pics up close.

How do you find the cork handle Luke? Is that rubber on the top? Do you feel the hits a lot better? Interesting handle, been looking at various sorts of handles but the web don't show many!

Hi angler 3.55

I just sold my longcast a week ago (upgraded to GLX), if you can, buy a reel that is under 230g so the combo would balance better.
Just a friendly suggestion.

cheers

The Shimano Sephia is available from Japantackle.com now. Priced at about US$ 330. Very hot looking reel.

That's a nice looking setup there Angler. With the TP on it it'd be hot.
The reel seat is a Daiwa exclusive, produced for them by Fuji. As such not available on anything outside of the Daiwa stable, or available to custom builders. The rubber is the comfort finish, layered rubber over parts of the graphite seat. Very comfortable, and doesn't detract from the sensitivity much at all.
