Wet box!!

I thought I'd throw up a pic of a mod I've just done on a boat. Its real simple and I'm keen to see just how well it works..Its not my boat so if its crap it doesn't really mater

Basically its just a standard transducer and i fitted a PVC tail with a threaded cap. SIkerflexed it to the floor and the transducer sits inside. Fitted a small bung to fill with water and hey presto a wet box

This can only be done on the bottom skin so there's no air inside the hull. But the best part is that there is no need to move the transducer up and down on the stern to get the best angle to work at speed and best of all nothing to brake of on the beach or shallow

Out of curiosity I'd like to know if anyone else has done this on a smaller boat??

Hopefully it all works well and I'll do it to my boat..Just need Bubba to hurry up and go test it know

Thats pretty cool.

I have a sounder on try before you buy trial and if I end up getting the fuse and crap so I can try it and all is ok might try that on the old bunger. Because that is what old bungers are for

It normally is only for Fiberglass boat..Why i don't know but the benifit is that there is no drilling or holes so it couldn't hurt to try..
