Narrow it down a bit; do you want

Bow or transom mount?

Type of battery and amp/h (tournament use or otherwise)?

Flash charger or budget (3 stage etc)?

New / secondhand?

Without specifying these things it's difficult to offer advice. You probably need to start with a budget.

If you are buying new for example, a kota RT55, you won't get much change out of $2000 for the full set up. This will get you the best of everything

Kota $1500
Battery $250
Charger $250
Wiring/circuit breaker etc $50

These prices depend on who you know too and are just a rough guide.

The RT55 is a bow mount pedal control with autopilot. I picked up a second hand one for $1300 which included a hopecke deep cycle battery 105 amp and a good quality Italian charger. It was 17 months old but not used much. It hasn't missed a beat so far.

Motorguides are another good option, being a bit cheaper and they come with a cable steer model which is a bit of a bonus. They don't have autopilot tho.

Do a search on Minn kota and Motorguide. There is enough debate on these boards to keep you reading for weeks .

I believe there are newer and better models coming out from both camps but I am told they can run into the thousands and I'm not sure if they are available here yet. Maybe someone else can fill in the details?

BTW Scott's MG is a bargain at $450. You won't find much cheaper for a bow mount MG54

Have a read of this thread. I don't want to rehash all this again on this thread

http://www.breammaster.com/forum/sho...ht=cable+steer

The debate will rage on (again)

There is something wrong with your PM then. It has happen to some of us before. May wish to send a PM to yourself and see what happens, or you may need to PM Bear. Happened to me long time ago.

Cheers Carol
