Reel Copies

G'day fellow breamers, I spent some time over the weekend reviewing the prices of reels in the lead-up to a trip to Singapore and Bankok later this year. I was wondering if there was a possibility of companies in these regions producing inferior copies of the major brands of reels as they do for golf clubs and watches? Has anyone had any experience with this?
