Have sold quite a few and had a few back for regular servicing only. Never seen any problems with them.

Good reel at the price!

I was chatting to the blokes at ranger today and he reakons their fine. It was a hard decision between them and a stratic but the 10 year warenty.

affinity vs stratic

well the thing is the affinity is a bit cheaper than the price of the stratic and the warenty is only 5 years so they r pretty close in price but not warrenty and the r both quality reels

nope. just check the inside of the reel. there should be a little spring inside that controls the anti reverse clip. if its broken take it bake

Fish three affinities really hard and they just havent broke yet. Biggest fish was a salmon down in albany and it handled it fine. Taking them all north in search of tuna this year and expect them to do well.

Make sure you wash all your gear properly and have them serviced regularly.

Im not worried about warranty factors with reels as they shouldnt need warranty work if you care for them. For me the bail, drag and super slow oscillation were big factors in finding a reel that i liked to use on all my rods.

Every year since i can remember, minus a few from when i was studying. Probably fifteen years.

Trevs are pretty hit and miss where i go. Sometimes they school up in the shallows right next to the ningaloo reef or they show up when im squidding. Other times you dont see them for a couple of years.

Try the bottom of the gulf for them. I find it a bit more reliable down there but takes a big mission by boat from town. Launch from learmonth and its quicker.
