Mate, I havent heard too much about that reel, but if you are spending that much money, I would seriousely suggest looking at reels from daiwa and shimano. For that price you could easily get a shimano stradic, or daiwa capricorn, daiwa Kix,(I think they are around that price? )at least! JMO

Cheers,
nathan

Mate spend ya money on a Stradic or a caldia kix, i have 1 of each and they rock. Spend that sort of money on a company thats knows a bit more about reels, personally i dont like okumas they just seem cheap to me. Get a Daiwa caldia kix 1500 for $289 you will be happy.

Ive only had my stradic for a few weeks, but from what ive see so far theres not that much between them. Ive got my 1000 stradic for SP's and the kix on my hardbody rod. The drags probally a tad better on the caldia as its a tournament drag system also it has digitally cut gears.
But the kix is a bit more $ so thats to be expected, but they are both great reels, ive got not gripes at all withem. Though personally i do think the Stradic casts just that bit better than the kix. Then i do have 6lb braid on my kix if i went to 4lb like whats on my Stradic it might make a difference.

Hi guys...

i forgot to mention that i wont be buying the reel for that price.

i will be buying it from ebay, approx $140 delivered.

yes i know it wont have a warranty card, but if it doesnt sit in the sand i think it will live well.

i appreciate your ideas on this topic.

thanks

I would never pay good money again to own an OKUMA anything, they are IMO a cheap and nasty reel and the finish will look like crap in 12 months even washing down after each use.

At any time you can also e-mail sales@breammaster.com and we can see what we can do with price on any item you're interested in.

Because we just weren't selling them. If people request, we'll see what we can do.
