Yamaha Servicing

Gday All

I haven't had the donk serviced on the new (secondhand) boat yet. The old tub had a Johno, so just wondering if anyone can recomend a good Yamaha dealer to service the new girl. I know there is Millards but logistically that is a bit of a nightmare. North or south it does not matter as I work on both sides.

Just Marine was the one I had been recommended as well and it wasnt from JP. Tim it depends were you live. I get mine serviced at Access in Wangara but its to keep the warranty going. After a dodgey job on my old Johno I wont go back to Boat City tho.

Hard to get a good one these days by the sounds Bubba - just like me with Access, I found they didnt do my 10hr very well at all, my boat was lucky to idle afterwards, and consistantly backfired....... hence trying elsewhere this time.

I just had 2 quotes $50 difference for the 50hr and $70 for the 100hr, just wiped one off my list.

Sounds like Just Marine or Freo Yamaha is the go, I must say I like the idea of a mobile service.

2nd quote which is 50km round trip closer:

50hr = $170 includes oil, will check spark plugs
100hr = $370 includes everything impeller, water pump, plugs etc

I`ll probably do the 50hr at the close one, and then have another look at it when the 100 comes due.

And Bundy, Just Marine dosnt really like having to head Sth unless he is already over there, he mentioned the Freo Doctor or something.......

Yeah mobile guys are great if they are in your approx area otherwise it wil be very costly for them to travel too far. So most good guys will just tell you and reffer someone else.

Anoughter guy to try is "Waterfront Marine" Cam Degan 0409936644 He has a workshop in top end Wangarra so he can travel around the gnagara morley area as well . Best thing is to give them a call.
