e-techs....any impressions!

Hi all, I'm in the process of converting my std hornet tiller to a side steer. Not too happy about the 40hp limit but thats life!
I am looking hard at the e-tech, as the out of the hole performance of the 2 stroke is quite appealing when I'm not able to go to a 50 four.
Can anyone give me some first hand reports on the e-tech?
-are they as fuel efficient as the claims?
-are they as quiet as the claims?

Lastly, does anyone out there know of anyone who might be looking for a 40hp midrange Yamaha, '03 model, its the one with the 3 carb 3 pot configuration. Has an SE Sport foil. Looking around the $3500 mark.
Cheers, Craig.
