flushing motor

Hi ya all
Today I took my 10 foot tinny & 2.5 merc up the Patterson river
trolling (and caught zero), but when I got home I made sure that I flushed my motor in clean freshwater (twice) just to make sure that there was no sand or salt left in it.

Many years ago, I bought a second hand 6 H.P Evinrude, and it was that clogged up with sand/salt that it had to be completly stripped, and cleaned out, and it cost me a small fortune.

I have learned my lesson the hard way (in dollars)
