I fished the Tournament along with 95 other keen breamo's and I can vouch for the tough conditions, fishwise and weatherwise.
The weather was atrocious with over 2" of rain falling during the comp and as if that wasn't enough there was a driving wind behind it which made it doubly difficult to fish. The results really speak volumes about the difficult conditions. When guns like Starlo and Buschy only weigh in 3 and 1 fish respectively I don't don't feel too bad about only getting 1 myself. Of the 96 who participated, about 45 didn't weigh in a legal fish. A legal fish in NSW is 25cm tip length whereas in the ABT series a legal fish is 25cm FORK length. A lot of legal tip length fish were caught but were not weighed and this sorted the wheat from the chaff ![]() I am looking forward to the next round at Forster and hopefully tally a few more than 1 ![]()

I was talking to Starlo this morning via email and I was saying to him You know what's got me stuffed, when the barometer was falling through the floor at Walpole & the Albany rounds, the wind's were 30 knots plus and it was pouring rain, it was then that we got the most bream in WA. At Walpole we got 200 plus bream between 41 anglers.
What the hell is going on! Starlo reckons that becasue alot of the fish were yellowfin they like the sun not the rain. |

I'll keep it really breif - Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, bloody rain, bloody wind, bloody fish
Anyone want to buy a boat, a million bucks worth of plastics and hardbodies, plenty of rods and reels - before I throw them in the bin?? Seriously, it was a hard comp with plenty of 'almost' fish caught - unfortunately almost ain't good enough. I'll have to wait for Foster to redeem myself There's always next time..... and the time after... etc. etc. etc. Cheers,
